Balm of Gilead

bulletBalm of Gilead
  Magickal Influences:
Love, Protection, Healing.

Key Benefits
Create a very spiritual anointing oil by steeping a handful of Balm of Gilead in an equal amount of an unfragranced oil (almond is best). Let sit for 3 months, and charge it in moon- light for three days each month. (Charge it for the two days prior to the full, and then on each full, for a total of 9 nights.)
This is an especially good oil for anointing candles as well as an excellent general self anointing oil.
When you are suffering from a broken heart or find yourself obsessing over someone that you just can not have, carry with you a purple sachet of Balm of Gilead, and place it in your pillowcase at night. Every time you find your mind wandering back to thoughts of your lost love, tightly hold the sachet in your receptive hand (the hand you do not write with) and let your mind clear, pushing the unwanted thoughts away. Slowly let your mind wander onto other thoughts, anything at all as long as it does not remind your of the person who is invading your peace of mind. Keep the sachet (changing the Balm of Gilead for fresh every 2 or 3 weeks, burying the spent herb far from your home) until you are no longer troubled by your loss or obsession, then bury the sachet along with any residual negative feeling. This spell has worked for countless people.
Steep a few buds of Balm of Gilead and a small piece of vanilla bean in a sweet, red wine for a simple love potion. Share with the one you wish to attract.
