History

Here, we would like to share with you any interesting historical facts that we come across. Some will be on the history of the Craft, but others on subjects that simply interest those at Moontide. We adore history, particularly facts regarding the social and cultural aspects and lifestyles of the people at various times throughout history, so we hope to add to this section often.

Feel free to offer your own articles for consideration. We have a good many students reading the site, so we encourage them to send in anything they may have written for history or social studies classes that they think our readers might enjoy. Send articles to owner@moontide.net with "History article" in the subject line.  Thank you.

Click here to reach the articles about Victoria's part in the history of Wicca in Watertown and follow her attempt to affect change in that small town, as the town (still) breaks Constitutional law by placing Christian and Jewish symbols on its Public Square (2 symbols making it a "Religious Display" and, therefore, illegal) every December. She started a controversy when asking that a third, Wiccan, symbol be added in order to make it a "Cultural Display", which would be legal.
