Pendulum Use Blog
Here, we'll be posting instructions, tips and advice on how to use your pendulum (or pendulums, as having a collection of different pieces to use for different types of questions is very helpful, but we'll get into that later).
There are, literally, dozens of methods of use, but we'll try to keep it simple, as pendulum use, above all, should be simple and enjoyable. You should be able to get accurate responses using even the most basic techniques, however, some of you might enjoy trying some of the more advanced methods.
OK, we admit...this isn't really a blog, as there's no regular posting, but it did start out as a blog. Hopefully, we'll find time to add more, and do so regularly, in the future. In the meantime, we hope you'll find the information we did find time to post of use.

Entry One...Many pendulum users will find the most simple technique to be their most effective one. While you may wish to experiment, and you should, with various systems of use, you'll probably turn back to this simple one time and time again. It goes like this...
Hold your pendulum with the thumb and forefinger of your "Projective Hand". That would be the hand with which you write. For most, that will be their right hand. Some are comfortable holding it by the end piece/holding bead, while others may find their pendulum to be more responsive if held shorter, so experiment a bit until you find your own, personal, proper length. Moontidearts pendulums hang from 6", or longer chain. While six inches is correct for most people, four inches may be just right. With practice, you'll find the perfect length. If you do need to hold it shorter than the full length of the chain, simply wind the excess chain around your finger, or just tuck it in between your thumb and finger so that the excess is out of the way. Definitely start out using it at full length. You'll quickly, and intuitively, realize if you need to hold it shorter. If you're certain of a shorter length (and each pendulum may work better at its own specific length, so treat each pendulum you own as its own unique "self" and learn how much chain each needs) then you might want to have the chain shortened or, if you have the skill and tools, shorten it yourself.
You'll want to either be standing or sitting quite upright in a chair. Good posture and alignment is important, so sit up straight, or stand up tall with your feet firmly planted at shoulder's width. Try to avoid any excess movement, so be sure you're in a quiet room, one without pets, children or other distractions able to interrupt you. We find that the best results are often achieved when you're alone, in the most quiet room, and late evening seems very conducive to pendulum work. (If you're in a busy or noisy place, try the bathroom. While not exactly ideal, at least you'll be alone and...usually...uninterrupted.)
OK, so you're sitting or standing just right. You have your quiet time, and you know which hand from which to dangle your pendulum, so you're ready to learn how it will answer your questions. You do so simply by asking it. Hold out your other hand (that's your Receptive Hand), palm upward, and let your pendulum dangle about an inch above your palm. Be still and allow the pendulum to steady. When it's stopped moving, start concentrating on a simple question to which you already know the answer. For example, "Is my birthday in March," or "Is my dog named Fido--oh, bad example. No one names their dog Fido, hopefully. Anyway, concentrate on questions that have a definite Yes answer. Some user find just thinking or meditating on the question works best. Others say the question out loud. Experiment...always experiment. Find your own, personal best way.
After a few moments of concentrating on (or speaking) a question, you should find the pendulum starts to move. Looking down on the pendulum, so keep it close to your body so that you can just bend your head to see over the piece, enables you to better see the motion. Study how the pendulum swings. It should swing in a similar way for each of your Yes questions. Most people find that it will swing in a circle for Yes questions.
Do the same with No questions, studying the movement. You should notice a definite difference between the way it swings for your No questions, as opposed to its movement for your Yes questions. No questions, for most people, will demonstrate a back and forth swinging motion. Don't worry, however, if you get different results. As long as your Yes results are consistent, and your No results are also consistent and you can tell the difference between the way your pendulum swings for them, then you're fine.
Double check this. Ask your pendulum, "Show me my Yes," and "Show me my No," checking to see if you get the same results you got with your other questions.
On occasion, it may take some time to determine your Yes and your No. In a way, your pendulum may be testing you. Have patience. All will be revealed to those with patience. If you can't figure things out during your first try, put it away for a day or two, and try again later. Actually, putting it away by tucking it into a corner of your pillowcase is an excellent way of "bonding" with your pendulum, so try that. You may find that your answers are revealed after the piece has had a chance to "absorb" some of your energies or pick up a bit of your aura.
Once you know your pendulum's Yes and No movements, you're ready to go. Ask your questions, but just be careful, especially in the beginning while you're still feeling your way around, not to depend too much on your pendulum's answers. Avoid trying to get answers to your most important questions. Yes, ask. Just don't depend solely on your pendulum's answers. While the pendulum is a powerful and usually quite accurate psychic tool, you should still use discretion. Even the most experienced and accomplished users know better than to base their most important decisions and questions on the swing of a pendulum. (Click here to return to the top of the page.)
Entry Two...You can double check your pendulum answers by picking up another pendulum, or you can actually use your own body. Simply stand with your feet, pointing forward, about a shoulder's length apart, close your eyes, and then start to concentrate on your question. After a time, your body will naturally start to sway, much like your pendulum. Just as you determine your Yes and your No with your pendulum, do the same with your body. "Ask" to see your yes and your no. Test the movement your body makes with questions of which you already know the answer. This can be a very accurate way of answering your questions, and an especially accurate way to test your pendulum's answers. (Click here to return to the top of the page.)
